According to the Wall Street Journal…

"…a growing list of U.S. business schools [are] shutting down their flagship M.B.A. programs in favor of shorter, specialized masters and online degrees."

Business is the most popular post-graduate degree and a focus on the business side of health care is particularly relevant in today’s world. A M.B.A. is an attractive degree to employees and their employers, but traditional programs requiring a 2-year commitment on campus are particularly challenging to those reluctant to leave jobs, their family or community, or who cannot take on a multi-year high-priced graduate program. As such, full-time traditional (residential) M.B.A. programs have been declining, while shorter, specialized masters and online degree programs have been growing (Wall Street Journal, June 5, 2019).

The concurrent online M.S. + M.B.A. option from the University of Florida and Stetson University is the perfect solution to provide advanced credentials in high-demand areas, all while allowing the student to continue in full-time employment. The cost for two degrees is less than the price of a traditional M.B.A.
